He was predeceased by: his wife Alyce Josephine Hall; and his brother Albert Edward Hall of Wichita, Kansas.. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Lynn Strahler (Michael Strahler) of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Spencer Bradley Hall of Kansas City, Missouri, Jeffrey Kent Hall (Jennifer Hall) of Spring Hill, Kansas and Shelley Downing (Michael Downing) of Boulder, Colorado.. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He completed his fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in LaJolla, California, where he published papers on thyroid disease, fat metabolism, exercise and related areas of medicine.
