He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Scranton and Gladys Scranton (Bates); his wife Judith Kaye Harrel; and his siblings, Merle E. Scranton and Retta Arlene Scranton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sheri McDowell (Jack) of Farmington, NM and Stacey Sandell (Scott) of Liberal, KS; and his grandsons, Dylan Sandell (Morgan) of Kansas City, MO and Hunter Sandell of Liberal, KS..
