He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Buren and Dorothy Van Buren; his wife Donna Sue Morlen; his daughter Penny Marie Van Buren; his grandson Aaron Patton; and his siblings, Steve Van Buren and Linda Scheffler.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Patton (Donnie) of Liberal and Robert Van Buren of Liberal. He is also survived by Five Grandchildren; Six Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.
