He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Heckle (Love) and Clarence Calvin Heckle, Jr. (Lawrence LaVan Heckle); and his great grandchild Marisela "Maddy" Mendoza. He is survived by: his wife Carol Perry of Liberal, KS; his children, Kelli Springer (Rocky) of Peel, AR, Van Heckle (Kitty) of Guymon, OK, David Heckle (Aurora) of Plattsburg, MO and C. C. Heckle (Tonda) of Turpin, OK; and his sisters, Mary Monden of Amarillo, TX and Georgia Vigil of Monte Vista, CO. He is also survived by 23 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren, and Six Great Great Grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller Mortuary (908 N Lincoln Ave, Liberal, KS 67901). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Miller Mortuary Chapel (908 N Lincoln Ave, Liberal, KS 67901).
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made payable to Tabernacle Baptist Church in care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
