It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Eugene Stoops (Liberal, Kansas), born in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on November 9, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Grear and Lela Maxine Stoops; and his wife Ruth. He is survived by: his children, Ann Benfer (Kurt Guymon) and Kyle Stoops (Stacey Halstead); and his grandchildren, Savanah G. Stoops, Kyra A. Benfer and Joshua E. Benfer.

While the family appreciates the love and support from family and friends, they require that masks be worn and social distancing be observed during all visitations and services.
