Sherman Morlen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 14, 2025, at the age of 104, Sherman Morlen of Liberal, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvis Morlen and Dora Morlen (Gorforth); his wife Dorothy M. Robertson; his daughters, Sharon K. Morlen, Donna VanBuren and Shirley Harbour; his grandchildren, Matthew Hartley, Nicholas Morlen, Christopher Morlen and Penny VanBuren; his great grandchild Charles Dunbar; and his children-in-law, Jim Harbour and Cathy Morlen.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Morlen (Pat) of Liberal, KS, Sam Morlen of Longview, TX, Jim Morlen of Garden City, KS and Catherine McGehee of Liberal, KS. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren and numerous Great-Grandchildren; numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Viewing was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller Mortuary (908 N Lincoln Ave, Liberal, KS 67901). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church (920 N Jordan Ave, Liberal, KS 67901).
Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church or the Liberal Senior Center.
