With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wendell E Bard of Liberal, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 14, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Emerson and Lois Wilma Bard (Abraham); his half-brother Ramon Dawson; his sister Nancy "Sue" Kerr; and his grandparents, Elge, Hazel Bard (Girch), Edward and Amy Abraham (Gardner).
He is survived by: his children, Brian Bard (Christine) of Atlanta, Texas, Brandon Bard (Angela Chun) of Littleton, Colorado, Brianna Larson (Chris) of Greeley, Colorado and Brittany Okemba (Brandon) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Ian, Ava Bard of Atlanta, Texas, Benjamin Bard of Littleton, Colorado and Mara Okemba of Lincoln, Nebraska; his brothers, Fairen Bard (Sharon) of Jennings, Oklahoma, Tom Bard of Junction City, Kansas and Gary Bard (Cindy) of Reno, Nevada; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Kerr of Oxford, Nebraska. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
