He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Gillberg and Judith Gillberg (Johnson); his sons, James and Phillip Gillberg; his sister Bonita Young; and his great grandchild Teagan Gillberg.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Gillberg; his daughters, Susan Bryan of Lindsborg, KS and Sherry Rush; and his grandchildren, Jessica James, Joshua Elliott, Lacey Swetson, Chelsea Sabata, Courtney Bryan and Jacob Bryan. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
