He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Heglund and Mildred Heglund; his wife Judy Brightbill; and his sister Elaine Heglund. He is survived by: his sister Kathy Ruth of Cortez. He is also survived by his two daughters, Jim is survived by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crick-Christians Funeral Home (103 N Washington St, Lindsborg, KS 67456). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Assaria Lutheran Cemetery (124 E 1st St, Assaria, KS 67416). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Smoky Hill Cemetery (110 N Main St, Lindsborg, KS 67456).
