He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Francis and Pauline Boyle (DuVall); his wife Bonnie Josephine Young; his son Joseph Edward Boyle; and his brothers, William "Bill", Robert, Harold and Howard Boyle.

He is survived by: his sons, Jay Boyle (Marta) and Jack Boyle (Jean); his daughter-in-law Susan Boyle; his grandsons, Dustin Boyle (Liz) and Johnathan Boyle; and his great grandchildren, Clara Boyle, Walker Boyle and Kelty Boyle. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
