She was predeceased by: her parents, Olaf Alfred and Anna Charlotta Larson; her husband Alfred Eklund; her son Mark; and her siblings, Armeda, Lawrence, Robert, Edward and Herbert Larson.
She is survived by: her daughter Janelle Schmalz (Russell); her stepson Charles Eklund (Caroline); her grandson Dakota Schmalz (Abbey); her great grandchildren, Georgia, Elizabeth and Judah Ford Marion Schmalz; and her stepgrandchildren, Rebekka Eklund, Luke Eklund, Kim Fitzgerald and Shannon Swanson.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the McPherson Cemetery (1601 Cemetery Dr, McPherson, KS 67460). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Lindsborg Evangelical Covenant Church (102 S Washington St, Lindsborg, KS 67456).
