He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Pelz and Theresa Pelz (Hennig); his siblings, Esther Klitzing, Ruth Israel, Carl Pelz and Leona Dixon; and his son-in-law Jim Bateman.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Anita Streger; his daughters, Sue Revelle (Ron), Nancy Bateman and Cheryl Graves (Gary); and his grandchildren, Trina Riley (David), Terese Balsa (Juram), Grace Greene (Mason), Rachel Edwards (Auston), Sarah Kendrick (Guin), Joe Bateman (Heather), Jackie Langhofer (Blake), Jason Graves (Leah), Amy Moran (Timothy), Leslie Allen (Andy) and Angela Hlad (Tyler). He is also survived by 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
