John E. Hiesterman Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of John E. Hiesterman of Linn, Kansas. John, born on October 16, 1947, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Hiesterman and Elsie Hiesterman (Burger); his wife Ramona Hiesterman of Peter's Lutheran Church; his brother Ernie Hiesterman; his sister-in-law Cindy Hiesterman; his grandson Andrew James Hiesterman; and his sister-in-law Brenda Reith.
He is survived by: his nephews, Daniel, Luke and Jeremy Olson; his cousin Jason Uffman; his daughters, Angela Hiesterman of Scandia and Jennifer Allen-Hiesterman (Lee Allen) of Smith Center, Kansas; his granddaughter Felicia O'Neil (Devan) of Superior, Nebraska; his great grandchildren, Kash, Kinzlee and Korbett O'Neil; his stepdaughter Tina Meier (John) of Stillwater, Oklahoma; his stepgrandchildren, Brad Meier, Rachel Kramer (Kyle) of Stillwater and Sarah Meier (Thomas Corr); his stepgreat-grandson Marcus Meier; his brothers, Dee Hiesterman (Kollette) of Milford, Joel Hiesterman (Michela) of Phillipsburg and Philip Hiesterman (Vickie) of Linn; his brother-in-law Dewain Reith of Linn; and his close friend Pat Pearson of Clyde, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ward Funeral Home - Linn (418 4th St, Linn, KS 66953). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (210 Church St, Linn, KS 66953). A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery (834 Osage Rd, Linn, KS 66953).
A memorial fund has been established in John's name for the Linn Lutheran School Endowment Fund or the Kansas Livestock Foundation Scholarships.
