He was predeceased by: his brothers, George Merritt and Charles Merritt. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Boerger; his children, Mitch Merritt (Tiffany), Ronda Bolejack (Garold) and Denise Dusin (Brian); his siblings, Harold Merritt (Shirley), Richard Merritt (Kathy) and Carolyn Pruser of Champagne, IL; and his sister-in-law Ilene Merritt of Hooker, OK. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
