She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Hopkins and Effie Hopkins (Mefford); her husband Leon; her sisters, Evelene King (Leland), Irene Wresche (Roy) and Bea Ward (Jim); and her grandson Aiden Sherraden.
She is survived by: her children, Barry Nicholson (Arlette) of Michigan, Shona Sherraden (Daryl) of Little River, KS, Barth (Stephanie) of Olathe, KS and Nicole DeMoure of Wichita, KS; her grandchildren, Jesse Nicholson (Karen), Joss (Ryan Shrout), Danielle, Megan, Paige, Meairanda, Lili Sherraden, Grant Nicholson (Mary Self), Chelsea Nicholson (Curtiss Shore), Natalee (Isaac Payne) and Aaron DeMoure (Hannah); and her great grandchildren, Bennett, Miles Nicholson, Wesley, Madelyn Shrout, Sabrina Sherraden, Nolan Payne, Cowan, Leah and Isla DeMoure.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall at Turning Point Church of the Nazarene (2720 Campus Dr, Garden City, KS 67846). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Turning Point Church of the Nazarene (2720 Campus Dr, Garden City, KS 67846).
