The memory of Vivian Ruth Urban of Lucas, Kansas, who passed away on October 16, 2025 at the age of 100, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah McGuire and Ruth McGuire (Cullens); her daughter Mary Frances; her husband Duane Urban; her siblings, Lavona Heinze, Nova Blundon, Naomi McNeil, Mary Jane Hendrix, Anita Isbell, Arven McGuire, Wilbur McGuire and Richard McGuire; her children, Duane Urban II and LaVaughn Urban; her grandson Lance Emerson; and her great grandchild Jillian Fuellbier.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Soto, Jr. (Pete), Mildred Zurenda, David Urban (Candi), Jo Ann Frederking (Lester) and Richard Urban (Connie). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lucas Community Church (322 N Main St, Lucas, KS 67648). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
