It is with sadness that the passing of Eva Jean Hackerott of Luray, Kansas is shared. Eva, born on March 2, 1936, passed away on November 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Schurr and Josephine Schurr (Shiroky); her husband Porter Edward Hackerott; and her siblings, Richard Schurr and Melva Dortland.
She is survived by: her children, Aaron Hackerott (Jeanne) of Centennial, Colorado and April Johnson (Perry) of Ozawkie, Kansas; her siblings, George Schurr (Pat) and Donna Frederick of Salina; her brother-in-law Edward Hackerott of Kansas City; her grandchildren, Noah, Arial, Hannah Hackerott, Ryan, Brett and Alec Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Kaiden and Raelynn Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Community Church.
