He was predeceased by: his parents, John, Jr. Cline and Emma Arlene Cline (Coker); his son Brandon Cline; and his siblings, John Allen Cline and Linda Cline.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Wagoner; his son Andrew Cline (Caralee) of Plainville, Kansas; his daughter-in-law Tammy Cline of Luray, Kansas; his daughter Candance Jewert (Jason) of Hudson, Colorado; and his brother Daniel Cline (Cynthia) of Wakeeney, Kansas. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

A Memorial has been established with the Luray Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial to the Luray Fire Department.
