She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Schaefer and Letha Schaefer (Torrens); her daughter Shellie Rene; and her siblings, Ronnie Schaefer, Donnie Schaefer and Charlotte Schaffer.

She is survived by: her husband Larry Wedermyer; her children, Troy Smith (Laura) of Osage City, Andrew Wedermyer (Lindsey) of Lawrence, Nathan Wedemyer (Summer) of Lawrence and Cheryl Beach (Anthony) of Hillsboro; her sisters, Alva Burden of Emporia and Barbara Hill of Wichita; and her grandchildren, Van Wedermyer, Isiah Smith and Caden Walquist. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
