He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Norma Patterson (Arb); his former spouses, Jane Gardner and Lorrie Stokes Miller; his grandparents, Verlin, Miriam Patterson, Earl and Mary Arb; his son Jason Krause (Malissa); his grandsons, Mason Krause and Raylen Krause; his brother Bill Patterson (Judy); his nephew Trent (Jordan); his great-niece Pippa Patterson; and his great-nephews, Caleb and Randall Patterson.

A graveside service was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Melvern Cemetery (Melvern, KS 66510).

Memorial contributions in memory of Jim may be made to the Melvern Community Center, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
