He was predeceased by : his parents, John Abel and Mildred Abel (Nichols); his sisters, Nadine Abel and Avis Henry; and his grandson Anthony Drake.
He is survived by : his wife Ruth Humphrey; his children, Mike Abel of Vassar, Diann Drake (Charlie) of Vassar and Marty Abel (Pam) of Independence, Missouri; and his sister Myrna Sue Guion of Osawatomie. He is also survived by his four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
