He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Layton and Rita Manger; his wife Barbara Jo McAllaster; his adoptive father William Corbin; and his pet Drake.

He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Corbin, Paula Moore, Bernie Corbin Jr. (Shannon), Rita Corbin (Trevis Epp) of Lyons, KS, Benjamin Corbin of Lyons, KS and Brian Corbin of Hutchinson, KS; and his siblings, Claudia Richards of Baltimore, MD, Charlotte Schurman (Earl) of Baltimore, MD, Irene Barnett (Tom) of Oxford, NC, William Corbin of Clarksburg, WV and Richard Crothers (Kim) of Hutchinson, KS. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
