He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Howard Sr. and Maxine Idell Battershell (Swanson); and his brother Douglas Battershell. He is survived by: his wife Kristy Battershell of Lyons, KS; his children, Charisse Sander (Scott) of Great Bend, KS, Stacia Engelhardt of Coppell, TX and Jered Battershell (Jenna Collins) of Ellinwood, KS; his brothers, Howard Battershell (Diane) of Hutchinson, KS, Montie Battershell (Kathy) of Hutchinson, KS and Galen Battershell of Kinsley, KS; and his grandchildren, Kade, Keaton, Charley, Berlynn, Sage, Winner, Kase, Karlee and Alice Grace.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (803 S Dinsmore Ave, Lyons, KS 67554). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to Babes Friendship Inn in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
