He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Lewis and Marguerite Mahoney (Bort); his spouse Kris Ball; and his siblings, Claude, Clem, Jim Mahoney and Jessie Mahoney.
He is survived by: his sons, David Akins (Destani Pulscher), Jeff Akins (Kim) of Surprise and Jack Mahoney Jr. (Donna) of Prescott, Arizona; and his brother Charly Mahoney (Linda) of Mountain Home, Arkansas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to donor's choice in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
