It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaVeta Ardele Starns of Lyons, Kansas, who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Wagoner and Gladys Wagoner (Samson); her husband Galen Lee Starns; her children, David Starns and Loretta Starns; and her brother Sam Wagoner.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Starns (Lorene) of McKinney, TX, Brian Starns of Lyons, KS and Melissa Clarke (Chris) of Lyons, KS; and her sister Myrna Drummond of Salina, KS. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
