Robert Burns Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Burns of Lyons, Kansas, who passed away on January 6, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Anna; his parents, Verbal Burns and Kathrine Burns (Ankerholz); his children, Steven Craig Burns and Nancy Jo Burns; and his sisters, Ethel Dunsmoor and Beverly Mix.
He is survived by: his children, Bob Burns of Raymond, KS and Julie Fernen (Mike) of Papillion, NE; and his granddaughters, Natasha Rushing, Michaela Koehler (Gavin), Brianna Dunbar and Jennica Fernen. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Bible Church (102 S Coronado St, Lyons, KS 67554).
Memorials may be given to Faith Bible Church or to Grace International (a Haiti support organization) in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
