He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Nelson and Barbara Nelson; and his siblings, Gary Nelson, Richard Nelson and Dorothy Whitson.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Nelson; his children, Nikki Miller (Aaron) and Erik Nelson; his granddaughter Jessica Havey; and his great grandchildren, Ella Havey and Emmie Havey. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A memorial has been established with Home Health and Hospice of Kansas.
