He is survived by: his wife Lyndal Nyberg of Manhattan; his children, Paul Nyberg (Lisa) of Wamego and Jane Freij (Adel) of Cypress, California; his grandchildren, Nabil Freij (Angela), Lena Freij (Gabe Greif) and Elis Freij; and his great grandchild Amina Freij.
