He was predeceased by: his brother Jack Edwin Clanton II (Jack Edwin Clanton); and his father Loyal Friend (True). He is survived by: his children, McKinlay Clanton of Olathe, KS and Coleman Clanton of Bozeman, MT; his mother Phyllis Clanton of Manhattan, KS; his sister Christy Clanton Albin (Curt Albin) of Granbury, TX; and his nieces and nephews, Nicholas of Fort Worth, TX, Dru Albin (Andrea) of Tulsa, OK and Nate Albin (Taylor) of Las Colinas, TX..
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Faith Manhattan Church (1921 Barnes Rd, Manhattan, KS 66502).
