She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Schaffer and Villa Schaffer (Ninemires); her former husband James C. Blacker of John's Catholic Church; her husband A. J. (Jim); her daughter Nancy Wells; her son-in-law John Hill; and her siblings, Ray, Gerald, Eugene, Arnold, Ed, Paul Schaffer, Mildred Wendell and Mary Jo Rittel.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Paul Wells of Wichita. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home (1616 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502). A vigil service will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at the St. Patrick's Cemetery.
