She was predeceased by : her parents, Leon Matthews and Alberta Matthews. She is survived by : her brother Milton Matthews; her husband Michael Toy; her son Derek (Marcia); her grandchildren, Kayla Paz (Paul), Derrick Hoke (Lacie) and Amanda Rodriguez (Eduardo); and her sister-in-law Karyn Toy. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and a foster sister.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Flint Hills Breadbasket or The First Presbyterian Church in Manhattan.
