We announce the death of Marilyn E. Scherling of Manhattan, Kansas, who passed away on June 27, 2026, at the age of 96. Marilyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parent Murle Florene Beason (Munson); her grandparents, Franklin and Nona Munson; her father Harold Beason; her aunt Frances McAdams; and her daughter-in-law Micki Scherling.
She is survived by: her great grandchild Lydia Marilyn; her children, Deborah Kleinau (Jim) of Manhattan, KS, Susan Scherling (Susan) of Manhattan, KS, Syd Scherling (Karla) of Clive, IA and Dane Scherling of Ft. Collins, CO.; her grandsons, Ryan Scherling of Safford, AZ, Ian Scherling (Anna) of Watertown, MA, Adam Scherling (Kristina) of Grundy Center, IA and Ren Scherling (Emelia) of Denver, CO.; her great grandchildren, Liam Blake, Weston Paul, Wyatt Andrew Scherling, Lucy Grace, Ellis Charles Scherling, Louis Frederick and Lydia Marilyn Scherling; her sister Paula Gibson (Jerald) of Wichita Falls, TX; and her nieces, Kristi McGill (Eric) and Julie McBurnett (Mark) of Wichita Falls, TX..
