With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Kay Ryan of Manhattan, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 16, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur B. Borghorst and Lillian B. Borghorst (Terwelp); her former husband Robert S. "Bob" Kelley; her husband Charles J. Ryan; and her brother-in-law Don Putnam.
She is survived by: her daughter Bobbette Cookson (Kyle) of Manhattan, KS; her grandchildren, Shannon Leeds (A. J.) of Alpharetta, GA, Shaun Cookson (Angie) of Austin, AR and Shay Strubinger (Evan) of Manhattan, KS; her great grandchildren, Lillian Leeds, Lucas Leeds, Taya Strubinger and Ayla Strubinger; her siblings, Diane Putnam of Hillsboro, IL and Daniel Borghorst (Carol) of Quincy; and her brother-in-law Kent Kelley (Jenny) of Galesburg, IL. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
