He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Jr. Lake and Rachel Lake (Schiller); and his siblings, Charles Lake III, Carl Lake, Everett Lake, Glenn Lake, Mildred Moore and Joyce Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Straub of Manhattan; his stepsons, Jerry Johnson (Carrie) of Altamont, NY and Joe Johnson (Jamie) of St. George, KS; his grandchildren, Tayler Buss (Trystan), Samantha Johnson and Tucker Johnson; and his siblings, Jimmy Lake, Dannie Lake and Lula Zieber (Larry).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Blue Hills Room (2315 Tuttle Creek Blvd, Manhattan, KS 66502).
