Robert L. Evans Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert L. Evans of Manhattan, Kansas, who passed away on April 3, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Evans and Edna Evans (Bates); his wife Eunice Kerner; his daughters, Susi Mayer and E. Mary Evans; his grandson Brian Freed; and his siblings, Harold Evans, Betty Kuhl and Geraldine "Gerry" Lyles.

He is survived by: his children, Tom Evans of Blue Springs, Jim Evans of Topeka, Richard Evans of Prairie Village, Mike Evans of Topeka, Tony Evans of Liberty Township, Robert Watts of Marysville, Debi Rockwell of Chattanooga, Chris Freed of Manhattan and Jana El-Koubysi of Topeka; his son-in-law David Mayer of Manhattan; and his sister Barbara Lunzmann of Nebraska. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established for the Marshall County Agency on Aging.
