He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roman Schmidt and Edith Schmidt; his wife Marla; and his son Matthew.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home (1616 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502). A vigil service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church (221 S Juliette Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502).
Memorial contributions in memory of Sam are suggested to the Manhattan Catholic Schools.
