She is survived by: her husband Matthew Pierce of Mankato; her daughter Staci Whelchel (Chris); her grandchildren, Lauren, Kale, Eli and Karlee of Mankato; her daughter-in-law Darcy Reinke (Jed); her grandson Caden Ost of York, NE; her siblings, Sue Doerr (Robert) of Green Valley, AZ, Fred (Mankato) and Duane (Mary Ann); and her in-laws, Jeff, Erlina Pierce of Mankato, Susan Pierce of Narka, KS, Henry, Kim Pierce of Narka, KS, Gilly Reiter of Jewell, KS, Clifford, Beverly Pierce of Yukon, OK, Andrea, Thomas Held of Hermann, MO, Beth and Mike Svoboda of Narka, KS.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Melby Mortuary (402 N High St, Mankato, KS 66956). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Evangelical Lutheran Church (201 S Center St, Mankato, KS 66956). A burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the West Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rock Hills Athletic Department or Solomon Valley Transportation, in honor of Linda's legacy of care and compassion and can be left in care of Melby Mortuary, P.O. Box 384, Mankato, KS 66956.
