Marlene F. Neilson Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on August 14, 2025, at the age of 91, Marlene F. Neilson of Mankato, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Shunkwiler and Vera Shunkwiler (Wallenberg); her husband Murlin Neilson; her daughter Debra Fogo; and her brothers, Wesley, Curtis, Kenneth, David and Keith Shunkwiler.

She is survived by: her children, Donald Neilson (Laurie), Roger Neilson (Jo), Michael Neilson, Kathy Putman (Fred) and Mona Terry; her grandchildren, Billy, Megan, James, Jesse, Krystal, Lara, Kari, Mikkie, Melissa, Daana and Morgan; and her siblings, Linda Herbek and Bill Shunkwiler (Carlyle Saint). She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.
