He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Richmond and Etta Richmond (Druse); and his brother Ray Richmond. He is survived by: his daughter Keri Helmer (Charlie Helmer) of Haven; his wife Betty Tipton; his grandsons, Randon and Ripley; and his sisters, Bonnie Stage (Jerry) of Olathe and Judy Grentz of McPherson.

A Memorial Fund has been established for to St Luke Hospital and Living Center in care of Jost Funeral Home.
