He is survived by: his wife Sherilyn Friedrichs; his children, Lindsey Elder (Bill) of Marysville, Heath Griswold (Dolly) of Marysville and Alissa Christener (Mike) of Frankfort, KS; his grandchildren, Gavin Charles Elder, Grady Michael Christener, Caliber Scott Christener and Matayah Scott Griswold; his brother Doug Griswold (Jacque); and his siblings-in-law, Greg Ingersoll, Clair Friedrichs (Barb), Lyle Friedrichs (Marilyn), Lyndon Friedrichs (Deb), Susan Friedrichs and Eva Cook (Darrell). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established to Immanuel Lutheran (Hermansberg) School Museum or the Marysville Union Pacific Depot Preservation Society.
