James R. Walrod Obituary
In loving memory of James R. Walrod of Mayetta, Kansas, who departed this world on July 22, 2025 at the age of 89. James leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother John Walrod; his granddaughter Melissa Morgan; and his niece Dena Walrod LaBrecque. He is survived by: his daughter Debra Morgan (Walrod) of Corning, KS; his granddaughter Maggie Hunninghake (Brent); his great grandchildren, Kelton of Corning, KS., Dempsey of Corning, KS., Riggin of Corning, KS. and Knox of Corning, KS.; and his siblings, Vida Keyser of Silver Lake, Donnie Walrod and Roy Walrod (Joetta) of Mayetta, KS.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home (1101 W 4th St, Holton, KS 66436). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Corning Cemetery.
