She was predeceased by: her parents, Llewellyn "Lou" Wabaunsee and Freda J. Wabaunsee (Nozhackum); and her siblings, Marsha Ferrari, Louella "Henry" Wabaunsee, Mary "Monnie" Wabaunsee, Frances Wabaunsee, Lois "Louie" R. Dominguez, Fred Lew Wabaunsee, Richard Wabaunsee and Ralph Wabnum.
She is survived by: her son Charles Nez; and her close friend Alan Wahweotten of Mayetta, KS. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The lying in state was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home (1101 W 4th St, Holton, KS 66436). A wake was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at the Nozhachum Hall.
