He was predeceased by: his father Dennis Smith; his grandparents, Pauline Pooler, Lee Otis Pooler and Stephen Smith; his aunts and uncles, Glenda Lick, Ivy Morgan, Joe Smith, Mike Smith and Steve Farley; and his cousins, Teresa Smith and Jeffrey Pooler.

He is survived by: his mother Linda Smith (Pooler); his daughters, Larissa Booth, Lynna Herring and Leanna Herring; his grandson Ivan Booth; his sister Gena Smith; and his grandmother Leatice Smith. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial has been established in his loving memory with the Wellington Humane Society.
