Phillip R. Long Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 26, 2025, at the age of 81, Phillip R. Long of McCune, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Leroy and Lula Bell Long (Dixon); and his brothers, Wayne Long, Dean Long and Kenneth Long.
He is survived by: his wife Marianne Long; his children, Tammy Gero (Kevin) of Parsons, Tracy Higginson (Doug) of Thayer, Kimberly Sterling of McCune, Phillip Travis Long (Barbara) of McCune and Cynthia Long of McCune; his grandchildren, Shala Williams (Derek) of Altoona, Kansas, Tyler Gero (Kylie) of Parsons, Kansas, Tanner Smethwick of Parsons, Kansas, Andrew Long (Samantha) of McCune, Kansas, Aaron Sterling of Carthage, Missouri, Abigail Long of Parsons, Kansas, Alexander Long of McCune, Kansas, Allison Long of McCune, Kansas and Addison Long of McCune; and his siblings, David Long (Barbara) of Parsons and Linda Fosha of Neosho, Missouri.. He is also survived by Five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home (405 Main St, Parsons, KS 67357). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Gentiva Hospice.
