She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Harman and Pearl Harman; her son Carl Strawn; and her siblings, Archie L. Harman, Oline Pearl Kessler, Virginia Marie Strait, Myrtle Loraine Lambert and Marguerite D. Carr.

She is survived by: her sons, Rodney Strawn (Nancy) of Montgomery, TX, Regan Strawn (Bobbie) of McPherson, KS and Douglas Strawn of McPherson, KS; her siblings, Joe Harman (Patty) of Hutchinson, KS, Bob Harman (Kay) of McPherson, KS and Mabelle Muller of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren, Chris Strawn (Jen) of McPherson, KS, Melissa Sidenblad (Paul) of Houston, TX, Steffanie Currier of Conroe, TX, Jessica Bannenberg of Montgomery, TX, Todd Strawn (Tracy) of Hutchinson, KS, Jeff Strawn of McPherson, KS, Casey Cornelius (Joel) of Hyattsville, MD and Nichole Trenckmann (Chris) of McPherson, KS; her great grandchildren, Kimberlee Strawn, Jake Strawn, Aaron Hill, Emily Hill, Aubrie Sidenblad, Clayten Currier, Ian Todhunter, Gwen Currier, Aleisha Bannenberg, Alexa Bannenberg, Trinity Webster, Tesslyn Strawn, Tinsley Strawn, Teadric Strawn and Brecken Trenckmann; and her great great grandchildren, Sophia Silva and Emmett Hill. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

“I knew okley while growing up in kansas, my grandmother, virginia strait always had a christmas visit with her at the house in great bend. I remember okley as a force of good nature. My memory is a bit spotted but i do remember her and the happiness i felt when she visited. I will miss her dearly. David strait”
