He was predeceased by: his father Richard Donald "Dick" Engquist Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Dee Engquist; his children, Laura (Joe) and Richard Donald Engquist III; his grandchildren, Richard Donald Engquist IV and Teagan; his son Vincent (Kylie); his grandchild Rylee; and his close friend Penny.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Washington Elementary School, where all three grandchildren attend.
