He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Peter JP, Esther Schrag, Edward and Martha Schrag; his parents-in-law, Melvin and Neva Lolling; his sister-in-law Deborah Lolling; and his great-nephew Kaiden Schroeder.
He is survived by: his parents, Mervin Schrag and Shirley Schrag of Hesston, KS; his wife Sheryl Schrag (Lolling) of McPherson, KS; his children, Crystal Gibbon (Joseph) of Hesston, KS and Logan Schrag (Maddy) of McPherson, KS; his granddaughters, Reese Schrag, Lily Gibbon and Rose Gibbon; and his brothers, Randy Schrag (Kay) of Hesston, KS, Russ Schrag (Leanne) of Marseilles, IL and Rynnell Schrag (Christine) of Maize, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Stockham Family Funeral Home (205 N Chestnut St, McPherson, KS 67460). A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Brethren (200 N Carrie St, McPherson, KS 67460).
To memorialize Rick's legacy, the family has established a memorial fund. Donations can be made payable to the McPherson County Community Foundation special memo "The Honeys Fund" in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
