He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Hamilton Verell and Robert Harrison Verell. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Ellen Boyd (Merkle) of Meade County; his daughter Camille Verell of Dallas; his stepson Brad Boyd (Sandra); his stepgrandchildren, Emily, Jack Boyd, Rosanne Price (Kevin) and Leah Davis (Wade); and also, Audrey, Sam, Kate and Elizabeth. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
