He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence W. Bufford and Attie York Bufford; his wife Barbara Messenger; his brother Lawrence Bufford, Jr.; and his granddaughter Taylor Robinson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kelli Robinson (Shawn) and Kimberly Garrett (James) of Topeka. He is also survived by grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
