Anthony Vaughn Gafney Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anthony Vaughn Gafney of Merriam, Kansas, born in Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on September 14, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Austin Gafney and Maxine Gafney; his wife Sharon Gafney (Kirtley); his son Scott Gafney (Michele); his grandsons, Jordan and Jonah (Jasmine); his great grandchild Esmé; and his brother Michael Gafney (Janet). He was also cherished by his nieces & nephews.

“Sharon, you have my heartfelt sympathy. Tony was one of a kind and I will always remember the first time I met his when he did his Tony (toe knee) routine. Edelweiss will not be the same without him. He always had a smile and a kind greeting even when he was in pain. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
